Practice Overview
Commonwealth Urology formed from the merging of Dr. Walt Brewer, Gillium, Blackburn and Donally in 1994. At the time they developed an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) for the Lexington division. Other area urology practices were added later for a total of 7 divisions, 21 physicians and 2 PAs.In 2007 a state of the art clinic with a CT Scanner was developed to offer the same professional diagnostic procedures as the hospitals in a relaxed calm environment, with easy access.
All 21 of our physicians are Board Certified with a combination of various experiences and tools in the newest urologic technologies. Many of our physicians are UK graduates, while others are graduates of excellent programs from various parts of the country
Additionally, we continue to give back to the community by serving on various local hospital committees. We take pride in offering patient oriented care.
Our physicians serve all areas of Central Kentucky with primary offices in Lexington, Frankfort, Winchester, Danville, Richmond & Somerset and satellite clinics in many other area communities.
